这首吉他作品收录在冯昊即将出版的实验吉他专辑《无语亭》中。这张专辑缘于2008年他与友人对安徽省庐江县汤池镇的一次探访。这里是净空法师的故乡，因为净空法师在这里创办以古礼古法和儒释道理念结合的公共教育机构“中华传统文化教育中心”而闻名于世。而真实的“无语亭”就坐落于这个小镇上。
在镇旁的山林中，他和友人遭遇到一场突如其来的阵雨，于是便找到一个池塘边躲避。雨过天晴后，滴答的雨水声和池塘的静谧给他留下了深刻的印象，于是就录制下这首《听水》。

冯昊，安徽合肥人，现居北京。声音艺术和实验音乐家、艺术家、设计师。2007年与萨克斯手李增辉组建实验音乐组合“核桃室”。DJ Strausss则是他进行掠夺性采样拼贴的创作代号。创作涉及声音艺术与实验音乐、绘画、行为表演与影像、剧场表演、设计等多个领域。

One of his performance, which called Listen to the Reality, has been done at UCCA, on Festival Croiements 2011 and in Mini Midi China Tour since 2010.As a musician and guitarist，he worked with many famous artists including Marshall Allen(Sun Ra Arkestra), Carl Stone, Eyal Maoz, Uchihashi Kazuhisa
